Pool Restoration Project

The pool restoration project is currently underway, and an update has been provided regarding its progress. The Engineering Committee reported that the Engineer of Record (EOR) inspected the concrete repairs done on the pool floor. During the inspection, it was discovered that the new concrete was not properly bonded to the pool shell, as indicated by hollow sounds when tapping on the repaired areas.

Following the EOR’s certification of the concrete repairs, the next steps will involve conducting a water tightness test by filling and draining the pool, which will take a few days to complete. Subsequently, All Florida Pools, Inc., the pool contractor, will take over the project to apply waterproofing, a Diamond Brite finish, decorative coping tile, and pool accessories.

Unfortunately, due to the additional concrete repairs and recent rain delays, the completion timeline has been delayed by approximately four weeks. Consequently, the original plan to open the pool by mid to late June and hold a combined Fourth of July and pool opening party is no longer feasible. Owners who were specifically anticipating the pool’s opening for the Fourth of July have been notified about this change.

The entire team is committed to delivering a high-quality pool that can be enjoyed at the Murano Grande for many years to come. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
